A Brandy Crusta is an IBA Official Cocktail made of brandy, Maraschino Luxardo, curaçao, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup, and Angostura bitters. The cocktail, named for the crust of sugar on the rim, was invented by Joseph Santini, a bartender in New Orleans at his bar, Jewel of the South.

  • Ingredients
  • – 5.25 cL (10.5 Teaspoons) Brandy
  • – 0.75 cL (1.5 Teaspoons) Maraschino Luxardo
  • – 0.5 cL (1 Teaspoons) Curaçao
  • – 1.5 cL (3 Teaspoons) Lemon Juice
  • – 0.5 cL (1 Teaspoons) Simple Syrup
  • – 2 Dashes of Aromatic Bitters
  • Garnish
  • – Orange or Lemon Twist
  • Preparation
  • 1.) Place all ingredients with ice cubes in a mixing glass
  • 2.) Place sugar around the rim of a slim cocktail glass
  • 3.) Strain the contents of the mixing glass into the slim cocktail glass
  • 4.) Garnish with an Orange or Lemon Twist
